TxDOT taps Interlex

txdotSan Antonio, TX–The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has awarded Interlex a major contract for advertising, marketing and public relations. The agency plans to consolidate its advertising, marketing and PR efforts under its new contracts (including Interlex and several other Texas firms) over the course of the coming year. Notable TxDOT campaigns include “Don’t Mess With Texas,” “Click It or Ticket,” and “Drive Clean Across Texas.”

Interlex President  & CEO Rudy Ruiz said, “TxDOT will provide us with the opportunity to contribute to a range of important issues – from public safety to the environment – that affect all Texans and can lead to saving lives and making our state a better, safer and cleaner place to live.”

Interlex’s selection builds on the agency’s extensive experience as a national leader in advocacy marketing, which includes past work for TxDOT and other state public agencies including Texas Department of State Health Services and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.

The victory also builds on Interlex’s string of new account wins in 2011, which have included national assignments for AARP, American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Caribbean Tourism Organization, Ohio State University Medical Center and USDA.

“It’s been a strong year for our agency,” stated Ruiz. “Our mission is to help our clients make a positive impact in the lives of diverse audiences. As we continue to grow, we can touch even more people’s lives, expanding the scope of our impact in making our world a better place for those who live in it.”
